How do I create 'Bookable Sessions' in my registration form?

Bookable sessions

NOTE: THIS FEATURE IS ONLY AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST, PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU WISH THIS FEATURE TO BE ENABLED FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION.

Bookable sessions are capacity limited areas of the event.

Each session has multiple slots attendees can choose from.

If a session is marked as required, the attendees must be able to select a slot with available capacity to complete their registration.
They can be added via the session booking form as well as managed via the Sessions menu.

Using an 'integer' field to collect multiple quantities for your session slots

When creating your session slots in your event registration form, you can also select a field that can be used by an attendee to select the quantity that each booking claims from a slot capacity. For example, this could be a field that gathers the number of reservations required by the attendee for a specific activity.

Can I use the Fee Calculator feature to add monetary values to Bookable Session choices?

If the fee calculator is enabled, prices can be added to the session slots.

Registering Bookable Sessions

When attendees register for bookable sessions, the number of bookings in their selected slot is increased, either by one or by the amount they select in the quantity field (if this has been configured). This is represented in the 'Bookable Sessions' index for the associated session.

Slots will not be available to be selected in the registration form if they are completely booked - these choices will appear 'greyed out' in the fields when interacting with the registration form. In addition to this, fields with bookable sessions are not editable by attendees following their initial registration.

If the attendee chooses one slot in a session, other fields linked to the same bookable session will be blanked out - this is to avoid attendees being able to select multiple slots for the same session. When viewing a completed registration form with a slot selected, fields sharing with the same bookable session will only show the field that has been booked in the registration show page.
